CT Scanning This is computed axial imaging of all body parts utilizing a CT scanner. Some of the applications
of CT scanning are brain/head, chest, heart, abdominal, bone-density scans, and CT angiography using multidetector technology. Every cross-section is a “slice” of the body portion being scanned.
Overview
Three-dimensional images of the individual slices can be created using specialized software, offering more clarity and detail than traditional X-ray scans.
CT Angiograms Help diagnose blood vessel blockages, identify blood-rich tumors, or help locate where a blood vessel may be bleeding. Cardiologists or vascular surgeons can treat blocked blood vessels as soon as the diagnosis is made.
